“Fortnite” offline update: Thousands of people complain about matchmaking, loading issues; “Can’t queue anything” – how to fix the problem

Thousands of users of Epic Games’ Fortnite were reportedly offline on Tuesday. As of this writing, DownDetector has logged over 1,800 complaints.

On sites where tracking was down, users said they faced matching and loading issues. “No game loading. Creative or business comments,” one wrote. Another added: “The matchmaking system doesn’t work at all. It’s almost impossible to load Save the World, let alone try to play there or in BR.”

On “Is Fortnite down? Why can’t I query anything,” they wrote.

Fortnite is released statementacknowledged the situation, writing “We are investigating a matching error that required you to queue multiple times to find a match. We will keep you posted as we have more updates and the situation returns to normal.”

Epic Games status page also notes Fortnite has a matchmaking problem. The problem, which initially started in the Middle East server region, appears to have spread to other regions as well.

“We are working to resolve a matchmaking bug in the ME server area that is preventing players from queuing into the game,” Epic Games initially said. They then subsequently posted an update stating that “we’ve also seen matching errors in other regions that require you to queue multiple times to find a match.” Their latest update indicated that the matter is still under investigation.
