Jill Biden says she fears Joe Biden suffers stroke during disastrous 2024 debates

“I’m scared because I’ve never seen Joe like this before. Never,” Jill Biden said in a CBS News interview that aired Sunday.

WASHINGTON — Former first lady Jill Biden said in a recent interview that she feared her husband was going to have a stroke when she watched then-President Joe Biden falter in a disastrous debate that ended his 2024 re-election campaign.

‘I’m scared because I’ve never seen Joe like this before or since. Never,’ Jill Biden told cbs news in an interview scheduled to air Sunday.

In June 2024, Joe Biden’s speech against Donald Trump was shaky, slurred and at times confusing, further fueling voters’ doubts about his fitness for a second term. He tried to defend his performance and pledged that he could handle the tough job for another four years, but that did little to appease voters. He stepped down under mounting pressure within his party, and Democrats nominated Kamala Harris as vice president.

“I don’t know what’s going on,” Jill Biden said in the interview. “When I looked at it, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.'” And it scared me to death. “

The former first lady is promoting a book, “Views from the East Wing: A Memoir,” due out next week.
