Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains open

The police investigating Nancy’s disappearance said the case is still under investigation. June 1, pima county Sheriff Chris Nanos told local station KOLD-TV: “This is a very sensitive case. But what’s really delaying the case is we do rely on the lab to handle the digital part of the case, which is very critical.”

“We want to make sure that DNA not only identifies suspects but also exonerates innocent people,” he added.

Nancy Guthrie case: No suspect named yet

Authorities have not released the suspect’s name or determined a motive for Nancy’s alleged kidnapping. On February 10, the FBI released a video showing a masked and armed man captured on a doorbell camera the morning she disappeared.

The FBI is currently analyzing mixed DNA found at Nancy Guthrie’s residence, which includes hair samples.

Rewards totaling $1.2 million are being offered for information leading to her recovery.

The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department urge anyone with information to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. The agency has established a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to Nancy’s recovery or the arrest of individuals involved in her disappearance.
