On Monday, a 51-year-old Indian man Yousafe Kunhammu from Kerala died due to a medical emergency on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru.The deceased’s nephew, who lives in Abu Dhabi, told Gulf News that Yousafe was traveling on a visit visa and was returning to India alone when the incident occurred.Yousafe suffered breathing difficulties shortly before departure, the newspaper said, citing airline sources. The crew immediately sought medical assistance and paramedics rushed to the aircraft to treat him.He was later taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.The exact cause of death has not been confirmed, but family members believe he may have suffered a heart attack.The incident caused a brief delay before the flight continued. Yousafe is survived by his wife and five children, including a three-month-old baby.His body is currently being kept at the mortuary and relatives and community members are making arrangements to transport his body back to his hometown in Kerala.
