
Giantex is recalling adjustable outdoor lounge chairs sold on Amazon after reports that a consumer had his finger amputated while adjusting the backrest.

According to a notice issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects approximately 1,155 Giantex outdoor lounge chairs. The agency said the chairs pose an amputation hazard because consumers may place their fingers on pinch points when adjusting the backrest.
Giantex received a report that a consumer had his finger amputated while adjusting a recliner.
This recall involves Giantex outdoor lounge chairs with model number NP10025NY.
The recalled recliners were sold on Giantex.com and Amazon.com from August 2023 to October 2025, priced between $75 and $90.
The chair is blue and is approximately 76 inches long, 23 inches wide, and 13 inches high. They feature a five-position adjustable locking system and the backrest height can be adjusted from 13.5 inches to 26.5 inches.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled recliners and contact Giantex for a full refund.
According to the notice, customers either received a prepaid return package or were instructed to destroy the chair by removing the headrest, cutting the fabric and submitting photographic proof of destruction.
