On Wednesday night, protesters were recorded yelling at federal law enforcement officers, “I’m going to kill your whole family, your whole family’s dead. Your kids, your wife, they’re dead.”
He added, “I got your face, damn, you’re dead, you’re dead.”

Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Branch said Friday that an individual accused of threatening federal officers has been arrested.
His arrest came hours after Branch said he would find and detain the protesters in the video, according to reports. The man’s identity has not yet been revealed.
“This is a federal crime … not only threatening an ICE officer, but how disgusting it is to think about this man threatening his wife and his children with death,” Branch said Thursday on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show.”
What led to the protests?
The protests began a week ago after immigrant rights groups claimed detainees at the facility began a hunger strike to protest poor living conditions at the 1,000-bed center, which opened last May.
Protesters attempted to block people and vehicles from entering and exiting the facility. They linked arms, formed human chains, and used trash cans, umbrellas and other objects as makeshift shields and barricades.
ICE agents wearing helmets and tactical vests used pepper spray and batons to disperse crowds and keep roads clear.
