Two EA-18G Growler jets collided and crashed in mid-air during the Gunners Sky display two miles from Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
Officials said emergency crews responded to the incident and the air base was placed on lockdown after the incident.
Several videos of plane crashes have appeared online, showing the planes colliding in mid-air and then crashing to the ground with four parachutes opening in the air. Soon after, thick smoke billowed from the crash site.

Mountain residence air force The base is investigating a plane collision that occurred outside the base early Sunday, a base spokesman told Reuters.
A spokesman said: “Emergency crews have rushed to the scene and investigations are ongoing. More details will be announced as they become available.”
Attendees were reportedly instructed not to leave the air base as emergency crews had to clear the area to respond to crews and contain fires caused by the crash.

Pilot ‘found safe’
All four U.S. Navy ships pilot, The people aboard the crashed plane were “found safe,” the Idaho Statesman reported.
An airshow announcer reportedly told spectators the planes had “four good parachutes,” adding that the crew was able to eject and were located a mile south of the crash site.
The Gunners Sky air show includes flight demonstrations and skydiving, celebrating aviation history and showcasing modern military capabilities.
According to reports, this is the first Gunners Sky show to take place in eight years. The Idaho Statesman reported that a hang glider pilot died in an accident during the 2018 event.
The air base is home to the U.S. Air Force’s 366th Fighter Wing, nicknamed the “Gunners.” Mountain Home Air Force Base includes three fighter squadrons – the 389th Fighter Squadron Thunder or T-Bolts, the 391st Fighter Squadron Tigers and the Republic of Singapore’s 428th Fighter Squadron Corsairs.
