Her father was a gardener and the family could not afford private tuition, so she relied on self-study and free resources. She hopes to pursue science and join the merchant navy.In Uttarakhand, girls have outperformed boys, with pass rates improving and some students from modest backgrounds achieving top results through discipline and determination.
