Infosys co-founder and former CEO Narayana Murthy has sparked a debate on work-life balance after she made remarks on how to improve productivity at work in India. Talking to Mohandas Pai, former CFO of Infosys, he said: “We need to be more efficient if we want to compete with the fastest growing countries like China and Japan. Currently, work productivity in India is very low. The government must also reduce decision-making time and curb corruption in the bureaucracy. “Our young people need to work at least 70 hours a week,” he added. “
