Google is upgrading its shopping experience in India. As part of this change, the company announced several new features that use artificial intelligence to make it easier for shoppers to find new products, compare based on various criteria such as features, user ratings, and price, and get the best price for the products they want to buy.

what else? Buyers don’t need to know special tips or download a separate app to use these features. Instead, Google is integrating this new and improved experience into its existing services, namely the Gemini app and Google Search. Google says its new feature is powered by Gemini models and builds on existing features like the Google Shopping Map and virtual try-on tools.
Shopping just got easier and smarter on the Gemini app
Google is upgrading the shopping experience on the Gemini app in India. The new shopping feature in the Gemini app allows buyers to brainstorm and browse directly within the app’s chat window.
In addition to asking Gemini for a list of text-based suggestions, buyers can ask the AI for a list of shoppable products, comparison tables, prices on the web, and where to buy in the Gemini app. The experience, available in English and Hindi, uses Google’s shopping map tool to search for products on the internet.
For those unfamiliar, Shopping Graph first launched in 2021. It is a dynamic repository of product information that provides an up-to-date view of products available on the Internet. Product information is provided directly to Google by brands, retailers, and other content providers.
Talk to the store in Google Search
Google is also making AI modes in search more conversational for Indian shoppers. Google says AI mode in search now delivers “intelligent organizational responses” that include images and other details. Buyers also get a comparison table with a side-by-side view of other similar product recommendations, including insights from reviews. This feature is designed to make it easier for buyers to purchase products online.
Search circles become more useful for shopping
Finally, Google has improved the existing Circle Search feature on the Google Pixel 10 and Samsung Galaxy S26 series so that buyers can explore multiple objects in an image at the same time.
To use this upgraded experience, all they need to do is click, doodle, or circle the product. “Let’s say you see an outfit on social media that you like and you want to replicate the vibe. You can search for each item of clothing in one go—from tops to shoes and everything in between,” Google wrote in a blog post.
