In a post on Instagram, Terry’s family announced that the family’s current public focus is not on funeral arrangements but on implementing one of Terry’s last requests: the creation of an arts foundation called Dr. Oliver Terry’s Gifted Baby Extremely Epic Grant.

According to Brazilian authorities, Terry died in a helicopter mid-air collision in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area of Rio de Janeiro on June 14. Five other people also died in the accident.

“The continued love, support and positivity are helping family, friends and collaborators get through these extremely difficult times,” the message continued.

The post mentioned Terry’s will and wrote: “This is what Oliver compiled before he passed away and was written in his will.” The post also read: “We will make sure his wishes are fulfilled and spread more joy, love and art to the world. This was his last wish.”

No further information about the “epic grant” was revealed in the post.

However, Tree has already floated the idea. On an April episode of the “Zach Sang Show” podcast, Terry said he doesn’t consider future profits to be his and that he intends to establish a foundation to distribute any royalties he will receive after his death.

“My idea was that when I died, all the money would go back to the artists. So I started a foundation. It’s called the Dr. Oliver Tree Genius Babies Art Grant.” Terry continued, “Basically, the interest my music generates, we’ll take most of it, but there’s room for other money as well. Because when I die, there will continue to be remnants of my art.”
