this Trump administration A court document released on June 17 shows that 57 exhibits, signs, books and other materials were removed from national parks and monuments across the United States. The removal is part of a broader government effort to eliminate content that officials say does not focus on the park’s natural beauty or “disparages Americans past or present.”

The court documents come after a federal judge ordered the government to accurately disclose materials removed from parks and monuments across the country. June 12, us District Judge Angel Kelly issued a preliminary injunction blocking the government’s attempts to change the national park’s historical and educational content.

Trump executive order explained
The removal is related to an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in the early months of his second term. executive order instructions federal officials Reviewing monuments, memorials, statues and related materials across the country, USA Today reported. The order calls for the removal of language the administration says supports a “revisionist movement” in U.S. history. The movement views American history as inherently racist, sexist, oppressive or fundamentally flawed, according to the government.
The legal battle over the removal continues, but newly released court documents provide the first detailed public list of 57 exhibits, signs, books and materials removed from the national park under government policy.
