Saudi Arabia’s Qiwa labor platform outlines a series of regulations covering work permits for senior residency holders, employee resignations, training contracts and visa-related services.Senior residency holders must obtain a dedicated work permit through the Qiwa platform. The fee for issuing a license is 100 SR.Qiwa said that the entrance fee for enterprises varies according to the size of the organization and is calculated based on the total number of employees registered under the unified number of the entity.The platform also confirmed that employers can record training contracts for Tamheer scheme participants through its digital services. However, these contracts do not count towards Saudization objectives and do not meet compliance requirements related to employment contract documentation.Qiwa said service fees can be paid using bank cards, SADAD payment numbers or through the platform’s digital wallet.The platform also clarifies the rules for employees to resign. The worker may withdraw his or her resignation request within seven days, provided that the employer neither accepts the resignation nor postpones the decision during this period.At the same time, the notice period is determined by the terms agreed in the individual employment contract and may vary from employee to employee.Regarding visa-related services, Qiwa said that the information contained in the visa cannot be modified once it is issued. If the details entered during the application process are incorrect, the visa must be canceled and a new visa issued containing the correct information.These clarifications are part of Qiwa’s efforts to guide employers and employees through labor-related procedures through digital platforms.
