What experts say
Despite the official statement, retired homicide detective Chris McDonald said investigators will continue to keep a close eye on Smith. McDonald, director of the Cold Case Foundation, told “Jesse Webb Live” that law enforcement would be particularly interested in anyone with a “history of violent kidnappings” around the area.
