There are rumors that the White House chief of staff Suzy Wells News that Wiles was preparing to leave the Trump administration was firmly denied by Wiles himself.

Wiles issued a public statement refuting reports that she was considering resigning after less than two years in Washington’s most powerful post.

Why are there rumors of resignation?
The speculation first emerged after a Daily Mail report cited unnamed sources who said Wiles was increasingly frustrated by infighting within President Donald Trump’s administration.
She is apparently considering quitting after helping oversee several major policy initiatives, the report said.
“Insiders say she views the crucial November midterm elections as her natural exit and her last chance at a time when Trump faces a seismic test amid a war in Iran and rising inflation.” Daily Mail Report claim.
The report also cited Wiles’ “poor health” as she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in March. One person who spoke to the site said Wiles was undergoing cancer treatment and was “completely exhausted,” making it necessary for Trump to take over White House staffing.
Trump’s Bill Pulte takes action amid Suzy Wells resignation rumors
Trump has declared that intelligence agencies have “too many” staff and said he wants the new acting director of national intelligence, Bill Pulte, to reduce staffing levels.
“I’d like to see it smaller. I think there’s a lot of people in there who shouldn’t be there,” Trump said, according to the Wall Street Journal.
However, a source told the Daily Report that Wiles did not approve of the decision to promote the former leader of the Federal Housing Finance Agency to acting director of national intelligence and take on additional responsibilities.
“Suzy was completely against Pulte’s actions,” the source said. “In fact, she tried to fire Pulte less than a month ago. That was after Trump posted a meme about himself being Jesus. That was Pulte’s idea.”
“I’m not going anywhere”
Wiles publicly refuted the X report.
She said she was “pleased to have read the Friday novels provided by the Daily Mail” and made it clear she had no intention of leaving.
“To be clear, I’m not going anywhere. I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team, and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people,” she wrote in the statement.
She further defended her president and accused the media of spreading fake news, writing: “Some in the media have spent a decade trying to create drama around President Trump and his staff. They were wrong then and they are wrong now.”
She concluded her tweet by writing: “See you on Monday.”
