Walmart recalls 40,000 baby bottles due to choking hazard

Boon NURSH baby bottles are being recalled due to reports that the plastic peeling off them could pose a choking risk to young children.

WASHINGTON — Thousands of baby bottles have been recalled due to choking hazards to infants and young children.

TOMY International is recalling Approximately 40,000 Boon NURSH 8-ounce reusable baby bottles The hard plastic casing was found to be bubbling and peeling, forming loose, film-like pieces that could cause the baby to choke.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on June 4, 2026. The affected products are Boon NURSH 8-ounce reusable baby bottles 3-pack in pink tie-dye. The bottles will be available exclusively in Walmart stores and on Walmart.com from November 2025 to May 2026 for approximately $20.

The recalled bottles have a hard plastic outer shell wrapped in a soft silicone inner bag with the Boon logo printed on the side. Consumers can identify the affected products by product number B11654 and UPC 669028116546, both of which are printed on the bottom of the packaging.

TOMY has received 135 reports of casings bubbling or peeling. There were no reports of injuries.

Parents and caregivers should stop using the bottle immediately. Consumers can contact TOMY to request a refund in the form of a $22 store credit on Boon’s website or an exchange for a set of three bottles in different colors. Customers will need to submit photos of affected bottles with “Recall” written on them and proof that the bottles have been disposed of.
