A semi-truck carrying watermelons caught fire Wednesday, completely blocking the Pioneer Highway near Interstate 5.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A semi-truck carrying watermelons caught fire in Snohomish County on Wednesday, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the Pioneer Highway west of Interstate 5, and the road was completely blocked.

WSP said there is currently no estimated time for the road to reopen.

Images from the scene showed hundreds of charred watermelons cascading down a hillside next to a mangled truck. It’s unclear how the fire started.
