Large residential fire in Parkland destroys some homes

No injuries were reported, officials said.

PARKLAND, Wash. — A residential fire destroyed much of a single-family home in Parkland Monday night.

There were no reports of injuries, but images shared by emergency workers on social media showed partially destroyed homes.

Central Pierce County Fire and Rescue crews responded to a fire in the 1100 block of Tule Lake Road South in Parkland around 7 p.m. Monday night.

Firefighters extinguished the fire by 7:48 p.m., according to the department’s social media reports. The county fire marshal’s office will investigate the cause of the fire, officials said.
