Police said they responded to the apartment complex on reports of shots fired around 9:38 p.m. Monday.
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday night at the Avana Star Lake Apartments in Federal Way.
According to police, officers responded to the complex in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road around 9:38 p.m. after reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for a 28-year-old man in connection with the shooting. Authorities said the victim and suspected shooter knew each other.
