Washington — Peabo Bryson, R&B singer The actor behind “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World” suffered a stroke and is “receiving treatment,” his representative told the media on Sunday.
“At this time, the family asks for privacy as we share this deeply personal moment together. The thoughts, prayers and love from friends and fans are welcomed and deeply appreciated,” the rep told type.
The 75-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter has written hits including “If You’re Ever in My Arms Again” and “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” with Roberta Flack.
Bryson’s condition is unclear at this time, nor is it clear when he suffered his stroke. No other information was immediately available.
