Jamie Lee Curtis’ sister, actress Kelly Curtis, has died at her home in California. She is 69 years old.
WASHINGTON — Actress Kelly Curtis, daughter of Toni Curtis and Janet Leigh and sister of Jamie Lee Curtis, has died. She is 69 years old.
Jamie Lee Curtis posted: “She was my first friend and lifelong confidant.” Facebook Saturday. “She’s incredibly beautiful and a talented actress.”
Jamie Lee Curtis said her sister died “peacefully” at her home in California.
“She played mean games of hearts, collected turtles, and loved her family, nature, music, thrifting, travel, Facebook and Pokémon Go,” Jamie Lee Curtis recalled of her sister. “She will be remembered for her loving generosity, fierce opinions, endless curiosity, unique style and the almond flour crescent cookies she made at Christmas.”
The cause of death has not been revealed and no other information is available at this time. She died two and a half weeks short of her 70th birthday.
Jamie Lee Curtis said her sister was proud of her Danish and Hungarian Jewish heritage.
“Kelly always signed any message or said goodbye with a Hungarian blessing… Isten Veleder, God be with you,” she wrote. “Isten Veled, my sister of the Sun and Moon, my Tay. We’ll see you later.”
According to Kelly Curtis, Kelly Curtis first appeared on screen in the 1958 film “Vikings” when she was only 2 years old Internet medical database. Both her parents starred in the film.
She resumed her acting career 25 years later, appearing in an episode of “Traitors.” She went on to have roles in several films and TV shows, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Switching Places, and The Sentinel.
Her last performance was in 1999 in an episode of Judging Amy.
