
Saturday afternoon began with hands-on workshops, where engineer pilots taught attendees how to build their own rockets.
SEATTLE — Xyla Foxlin has been fascinated by anything that flies since she was a child.
“I wanted to go to space when I was little…Aviation is the path to space,” Foxlin said. “I loved aviation so much that I just stuck with it.”
Today, Foxlin is an electromechanical engineer, pilot and creator.
Everyone will learn about model rocketry at a workshop on Saturday, May 30 Museum of Flight.
Participants will decorate and assemble their own Estes Alpha rocket kit.

Tickets are $15 and are available through click this link.
The seminar will be held from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. Check-in starts at 1pm in the Skyline Room on the second floor.
It is open to ages 10 and up. Participants aged 10 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
All participants will take home a finished rocket, including information on where to purchase optional engines and where to launch the rocket on their own time.
