Famous French actor Pierre Deny is famous for his co-stars Lily Collins In popular Netflix series emily in parisdied after a battle with ALS. He is 69 years old.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Denny’s daughters said: “It is with deep emotion that we announce that Pierre Denny passed away on Monday this week due to a sudden attack of severe amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.”

ifAccording to the Mayo Clinic, ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) is defined as “a neurological disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord…The disease causes muscle weakness and other symptoms that get worse over time.”

Pierre Deny’s career
Danny starred in the third and fourth seasons of Emily in Paris as Louis de Léon, CEO of the famous fashion brand JVMA. His character is the father of Nicholas de Leon, played by Paul Foreman, who is in a relationship with Mindy Chen (Ashley Park), a close friend of Emily (Collins).
As well as playing Emily in Paris, Danny has appeared in numerous films and TV series in his native France. Most notably, he played Reynold Dumaz in the French soap opera Tomorrow Is Ours in over 500 episodes from 2017 to 2023. His most recent appearances were in the French television series Sons of Ariana and Camping Paradise.
Pierre Dany’s co-stars pay tribute
Luce Mochel, Danny’s co-star in “Tomorrow Is Ours”, paid tribute to him on Instagram, saying: “Pierre, 7 years of filming together, riding trains together, having lunch together in the cafeteria. Sometimes talking, inviting each other every now and then, congratulating you on your hidden culinary talent, meeting our girls, applauding in the theater, usually calling each other ‘doctor’, but I have forgotten all about it.”
“A short ten years together should not have ended so quickly and so cruelly. I thought of your daughters and their extraordinary courage. I thought of you, my last visit and your sparkling eyes, rest in peace, Dr. Dumaz,” she said.
Danny’s death comes just three months after Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria star Eric Dane passed away at the age of 53 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
