WASHINGTON – AMC Theaters offers movie lovers the opportunity to watch classic films from Hollywood’s Golden Age.
The movie chain announced it will launch “Screen” series, A monthly program that offers seniors and movie lovers the opportunity to watch classic films on the big screen at a discounted price.
Program will be available at 25 AMC locations across the U.S. in October
AMC Theaters said this will be the first time the show has expanded beyond a single theater.
“Screen” movies will be shown at 1 p.m. local time to “provide guests with a convenient daytime entertainment option.”
“Watching these timeless films on the big screen brings a different level of energy and connection,” Ryan Wood, senior vice president and chief movie buyer for AMC Theaters, said in a press release. “We’re excited to make the experience more accessible to seniors with convenient showtimes and affordable prices.”
AMC said the series follows the success of a pilot program that debuted last year at AMC Fitchburg 18 in Wisconsin. The movie chain said the show was well received by local audiences and allowed for expanded screenings.
