When Ivanka Trump posted photos from Donald Trump Jr.’s weekend wedding to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas, social media users noticed that her husband, Jared Kushner, was in attendance while he was supposed to be negotiating with Iran. Trump earlier announced that he would not attend the wedding because he had work to do in the White House. “As much as I would like to be with my son Don Jr. and the newest member of the Trump family, his soon-to-be wife Bettina, my situation with the administration, and my love for the United States of America will not allow me to do so,” he wrote in the post.He had a golf break on his schedule over the weekend and was supposed to head to a golf resort in New Jersey, but that was canceled and Trump stayed in Washington.Donald Trump’s niece and staunch critic Mary Trump recently said the real reason President Trump didn’t attend the wedding was not Iran but his inability to love and be loved. Mary claimed that he hated his children. “Well, I’m not trying to simplify, but it’s essentially true, the reason we’re in this predicament is that Donald was never loved, and unfortunately that’s what he wanted most and still wants, but my grandfather and my grandmother also get some credit for that because of complicated circumstances that made Donald a man who desperately wanted to be loved but was completely unlovable,” Mary said. “So it’s not that Donald isn’t as well-liked as Colbert (Stephen), and no one loves him — no one. He knows that deep down. That’s where the anger and jealousy comes from.”When Mary discusses with Dean Obeidallah that this is only Don Jr.’s second marriage and not his tenth, and that dad can skip it all, Mary says she doesn’t feel sorry for him either. “Donny was a horrible person. He was a bit of a Nazi,” she said. “He’s completely unfulfilled, he’s a racist and a misogynist and a horrible human being. So don’t waste your time feeling sorry for him.”
