LONGVIEW, Wash. — A chemical explosion occurred at the Nippon plant in Longview on Tuesday, injuring several people, according to the Longview Fire Department.
The explosion was reported at around 7.30am, prompting fire crews to take major emergency action.
Residents are asked to stay off Industrial Drive and avoid the surrounding area while crews work at the facility.
The response remains positive and officials said more information will be released as it becomes available.
