Search for endangered Seattle man enters sixth day

According to police, 21-year-old Jakhobi Hale was last seen on Sunday, May 17, when he told his family he was going to the mountains.

SEATTLE — The search for a missing 21-year-old Seattle man has entered its sixth day, as multiple law enforcement agencies continue to seek information on his whereabouts.

Jacoby Hale was last seen Sunday, May 17, while visiting a family member, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said he told his family he was going into the mountains.

The Sheriff’s Office said Hale does not have extensive outdoor experience. Officials said 75 search and rescue volunteers and a federal agency helicopter were searching for him on Tuesday, May 19.

Hale reportedly left with a machete, raincoat and flashlight.

Anyone who has seen Hale or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
