Fighting over seats at Ohio kindergarten graduation hospitalizes one person

A disagreement over seating arrangements at a kindergarten graduation ceremony escalated into a physical altercation at a Catholic school in Ohio.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A fight broke out over seats at a kindergarten graduation ceremony at an Ohio Catholic school. One person was hospitalized Thursday morning.

Authorities said they were called to Queen Apostles School in Toledo, Ohio, at 8:45 a.m. local time due to an argument involving multiple people.

The fight reportedly left a 26-year-old man hospitalized with head injuries. The school said no students were injured in the incident.

Police said a 28-year-old woman, Jessica Anderson, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Lucas County Jail, where she faces felony charges.

“Thank you so much for your partnership with the Toledo Police Department! We appreciate your quick response to the situation that brought some individuals to our school,” the school said in a statement on Facebook. “Thankfully, all of our students are safe and the last day of school went on as normal.”
