AUBURN, Wash. — A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed on a bus in Auburn Thursday night, according to the Auburn Police Department.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. near Southeast 29th Street and M Street Southeast. According to a police spokesman, the shooting occurred on a bus.
The teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center, but the extent of his injuries was unknown.
It’s unclear if any suspects are in custody.
Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection, which is closed as law enforcement investigates.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from Auburn police. KING 5 has reached out to the Sheriff’s Office for more information.
