A crash has closed all eastbound lanes of State Highway 18 near Maple Valley, causing major delays. According to WSDOT, drivers should seek alternative routes.
Maple Valley, Wash. — A crash near Interstate 169 in Maple Valley on Thursday closed all eastbound lanes of Interstate 18, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
WSDOT said all eastbound lanes of SR 18 at mile 16 were closed following the incident. Eastbound drivers will be diverted on 256 Street. The westbound lane was also initially closed but later reopened.
There is no information on the injury at this time. Four vehicles were involved.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene and it was unclear when the road would be fully reopened.
Drivers are advised to expect significant delays and consider alternative routes.
