A photo was taken of a Waymo driving directly into a large flood area before it stalled for about an hour.
ATLANTA — Waymo has temporarily suspended service in Atlanta, Georgia due to an incident. Unoccupied self-driving vehicle trapped in floods Tuesday during heavy rain.

The company added that it has implemented flood-related operational changes following the latest recall and is continuing to develop additional software updates designed to improve vehicle performance around flooded roads.
Waymo said its Atlanta service will remain suspended while crews monitor weather and road conditions. The company said it would resume operations once the situation is safe.
