Cain Clark, 17, and Caleb Velasquez, 18, have been identified as the gunmen who went on rampage outside a San Diego mosque on Monday. Both died from self-inflicted wounds. Clark was reportedly a great wrestler and the incident shocked his family as they were left completely in the dark. “We’re very sorry for what happened. We know it as well as you do. It’s shocking,” said grandfather David Clark.Hours before the attack, Clark’s mother called police to report that her son and the car were missing.Anti-Islamic writing was found in the suspect’s car, and the gun used in the shooting had “hate speech” written on it. A shotgun and a gas can with an “SS” label on the side were found at the scene where the gunman’s body was found.The “SS” label appears to represent the SS, a paramilitary organization led by Heinrich Himmler under Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany.A suicide note containing references to racial pride was also found.After Clark’s mother called police, police began raising the threat level. The mother said Clark was suicidal and reported several of her weapons missing. She said her son was with a companion and they were both wearing camouflage uniforms.The security guard killed in the shooting has been identified as Amin Abdullah.
