Deputies say Old Highway 99 will be closed for several hours between Tenino and Tilley roads following a two-vehicle crash just after 9 a.m.
THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — A truck and car collided in Thurston County Monday morning, killing a driver and closing a home. main highway for several hours, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Old Highway 99 is closed between Tenino and Tilley roads after a two-vehicle collision just after 9 a.m.
Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Brooks said the driver of the sedan died at the scene. The truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
Authorities could not immediately confirm the cause of the crash.
Officials are encouraging drivers to use State Route 507 or other routes as the closure is expected to last several hours.
