As The Late Show on CBS enters its final week, an era is over.
WASHINGTON – “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Entering the final week.
Colbert will end late Thursday night, not only ending his tenure as host but ending the CBS late-night franchise entirely.
The Late Show has aired on CBS since 1993, originally with David Letterman before switching to Colbert in 2015. Revealed in July The network has decided to end “Late Night.”
Executives at the Paramount-owned network stressed that the decision to cancel was for financial reasons and had nothing to do with programming content.

As of Monday, it had not been announced who will appear on Thursday’s final episode of “The Late Show.” However, Some guests from the last week Including Jon Stewart, Steven Spielberg, David Byrne and Bruce Springsteen.
What replaces “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”?
After “The Late Show” ended, Comics Unleashed by Byron Allen will take over at 11:35pm ET. The roundtable-style comedy talk show features comedians including Sebastian Maniscalco, Tiffany Haddish, Gabriel Iglesias, Cedric the Entertainer and Nate Bagez. Since its premiere in September 2006, the show has premiered for 20 consecutive seasons.
The 12:35 a.m. slot will be filled by “Funny You Should Ask,” a syndicated game show created by Ellen and hosted by Jon Kelly.
Allen’s show tends to avoid political humor and is designed for repeat airings—some “Comics Unleashed” episodes on CBS are more than 10 years old, according to the Los Angeles Times.
