Firefighters arrived to find an RV and the home behind it on fire, according to the spokesman.
SEATTLE — A fire in an RV spread to two homes in West Seattle on Saturday morning, prompting firefighters to call a second call, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
A spokesman for the Seattle Fire Department said firefighters responded to the 10200 block of Southwest 26th Avenue around 11:40 a.m., where firefighters arrived to find an RV and the home behind it heavily in flames.
Upon arrival, crews saw the fire and escalated the response to a second alarm.
The Seattle Fire Department said firefighters extinguished an RV fire and a house fire while protecting neighboring homes to the north from further damage.
The RV was declared a total loss, according to King County Fire District No. 2 and the Puget Sound Fire Department. The home behind the RV sustained significant fire damage, while the neighboring home sustained only minor damage thanks to the quick response of firefighters.
There were no reports of injuries and fire officials said the cause of the incident was still under investigation.
