On May 10, a 19-year-old woman was stabbed to death. Seattle police are still searching for the suspect.
SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department released new photos of the suspect suspected of fatally stabbing a University of Washington student on Sunday, May 10.

New images clearly show the suspect’s face and clothing, which police hope will lead to an arrest. The suspect has been on the run since then Sunday night killings.
Police said the suspect is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and has a slim build. Photos show the suspect wearing a dark blue full-zip shirt or jacket, a white-collar shirt, dirty jeans, light-colored sneakers and sunglasses. The suspect also had short black hair and a goatee.
Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call 911. If you know the suspect, police urge you to call the Seattle Police Homicide Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
Around 10 p.m. on Sunday, University of Washington police responded to Nordheim Court Apartments, an off-campus student dormitory building, and found a woman stabbed to death in the laundry room.
Officials have identified the victim as a 19-year-old transgender woman, who has not been officially identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police are working to find a motive and what led up to the stabbing.
UW President Robert J. Jones issued a statement acknowledging the pain this attack has caused the campus community and specifically recognizing its potential impact on LGBTQIA+ students.
“While investigators have not yet identified a suspect or motive, I want to recognize that when violence affects trans people, it is especially concerning for members of our LGBTQIA+ community,” Jones wrote.
