NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Rising country music star Tayler Holder is stepping away from the stage to focus on her mental health after months of personal struggles when she couldn’t hold on anymore.
On Monday, the 28-year-old singer Announce He has canceled all upcoming shows, canceling dates in May, June and November.
“I have been struggling with my mental health for the past few months and I can no longer ignore it,” Holder posted on Instagram. “I have been trying for a while to put my head down, stay the course, and give my all to the music and the people who support me, but honestly I have reached my limit now and I need to take a step back and focus on staying healthy.”
Holder first rose to prominence on TikTok, amassing millions of followers before launching a serious country music career in Nashville, Tennessee. In April, he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, one of country music’s most famous stages.
His tour, named after his recent single “When No One’s Around,” was building momentum when he pulled the plug. The song’s lyrics describe the drowning of loneliness and the struggle with oneself. Holder admitted in the post that even though his career was on the rise, he still felt “so alone” and “unfulfilled.”
“Performing for you has been the greatest honor of my life,” Holder wrote. “I know many of you have made plans, spent money, and looked forward to these evenings together. I am deeply sorry for the disappointment this has caused.”
The news sparked an immediate outpouring of support from fans and fellow musicians. Christian artist Brandon Lake publicly responds with encouragement and shares a personal coping framework he uses during his own mental health struggles.
“Love you man, trust you to turn around fast,” Lake wrote.
Country artist Graham Barham simply wrote: “Taking care of you bro.”
Holder said he plans to take a break away from the road, seek professional support and reconnect with himself outside of the stress of touring. He did not provide a timetable for his return or specify whether his scheduled appearance at CMA Fest would also be cancelled.
Holder ended his remarks with gratitude. “This means more than you think,” he wrote of the fans’ continued support.
Refunds or ticketing information were not immediately available from official channels. Fans are asked to monitor Holder’s social media accounts for the latest updates.
