WASHINGTON – More than 60,000 Jeep Cherokees have been recalled due to a possible power transmission failure.

A total of 61,711 Jeep Cherokees sold between 2019 and 2023 are subject to the recall.
Remedies to address the issue are currently being developed and owners will be notified by letter once feasible.
Owners of recalled vehicles can contact Jeep manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles at customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number is 40D.
