Surveillance video showed eight people tampering with vehicle locks, according to the Redmond Police Department.
REDMOND, Wash. — Redmond police are asking for the public’s help identifying multiple suspects in connection with a series of alleged overnight vehicle thefts earlier this week.
According to the Redmond Police Department, surveillance video showed eight people in the secure parking lot of the Capella Apartments and Village Overlake Building between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators said the group was seen entering vehicles, picking locks and carrying bags and backpacks through the garage.
Police said one vehicle associated with the group is a stolen dark gray Lexus with Washington state license plate CTX8719 that was reported stolen in Renton.
Detectives believe the incidents may be related to several car patrol incidents reported that night. Anyone with information is asked to contact Redmond police at 425-556-2500, citing case number: 26-012501.
