Iyer acknowledged the effort. “It was a phenomenal effort to get to 160 from there,” he pointed out, while also admitting that his bowlers could not replicate the same control with the new ball.He emphasized execution as the key differentiator, especially on a pitch with variable bounce where hitting the ball isn’t easy. “It’s not easy to hit mid-wicket or pull the ball…We were a little behind in terms of execution,” Iyer explained.Despite the loss, the PBKS captain was quick to highlight the positives, particularly the team’s attitude and resilience. “The way we fought until the end, deserves credit. The attitude and approach were very good,” he said.Importantly, Iyer reminded that Kings XI Punjab remain at the top of the table. “We are still at the top of the table and that is what matters.
