Vasudevanallur Assembly constituency (SC reserved) is located in Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu and is part of the Tenkasi Lok Sabha constituency. It includes rural agricultural land near the foothills of the Western Ghats where rice, sugarcane and millets are grown. MDMK’s Dr T Sadhan Tirumalaikumar (also known as Sathan Tirumalaikumar) with DMK Won the 2021 elections with 68,730 votes (39.08% of the votes), defeating AIADMK’s Manoharan (66,363 votes) by a margin of 2,367 votes, and became the sitting MLA in March 2026, with no subsequent changes reported. Key issues include chronic irrigation shortages dependent on the Tamirapalani river, inadequate rural roads and electricity, inadequate health care and schools, high youth unemployment, and calls to develop agro-industry in an underdeveloped region dominated by scheduled castes.
