The witty conservative comedian was heard assessing the inadequate safety protocols while interviewing guests on the red carpet Saturday night.

“It looked like they were two random chicks holding the front door open,” the “Fox News Saturday Night” host complained, unaware that he was on air.

“They don’t even try anymore. I’m just saying they don’t even like agent People, like the girls who work here are holding the door. Even those guys don’t make it any better.

“They might as well have put a doorstop. They put a doorstop and a scarecrow: Don’t joke with this guy,” he added.

WHCD shooting suspect Cole Thomas Allen

Failla’s security check took place about an hour before the chaos, when the accused gunman, Cole Thomas AllenThe 31-year-old managed to bypass a security checkpoint inside the hotel and opened fire.

Officials said the suspect was trying to kill President Trump and senior officials in his administration, but he was quickly subdued by Secret Service agents.

Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, californiawas formally charged with attempting to assassinate Trump following a shooting during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The event, held at the Washington Hilton Hotel, was interrupted when Allen reportedly tried to break into the venue armed with a gun and a knife, prompting the president, first lady and senior administration officials to quickly evacuate.

Allen appeared in court on April 27, 2026, to answer multiple charges, including attempted assassination and firearms-related offenses.
