Trump briefly lashed out at O’Donnell, calling her “terrible” after she asked a question about a shooting suspect at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Cole Thomas Allen’s declaration.
“My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night and we were shocked. To see a president speaking with such a level of disdain — and apparent allergy to the truth — to a female reporter was disturbing, but not unexpected at this point, given his pattern of behavior,” Siebel wrote on X .
She added, “But that’s the problem. Because when this level of disrespect is shown again in the highest office of the land, it starts to seep into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and many men view women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.”
“Coupled with rhetoric rooted in political divisions and amplified by a digital ecosystem that rewards anger and misinformation, this cultural norm of hatred, dissent, and misogyny becomes pervasive. Behaviors that should be challenged become normalized; behaviors that should be cause for concern are amplified and cheered,” Siebel further wrote”, adding that this culture “normalizes domination and aggression towards women and girls, which not only silences them but also leads to internalized misogyny in others. “
Siebel later thanked O’Donnelland “To all women journalists, frankly speaking to all of you, continue to have the courage to speak truth to power.”
“This culture of misogyny exists within all of us and it must end,” she concluded.

O’Donnell interjected: “Oh, do you think – do you think he meant you?”
Trump responded: “I’m not a pedophile. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m not a pedophile. Have you read some patient’s crap? I’m associated with all this stuff that has nothing to do with me. I’m totally not guilty. My friends on the other side of the plate are people who were involved with Epstein or whatever. But I said to myself, ‘You know, I’m going to do this interview and they probably will’ – I read the manifesto and, you know, he was a patient, but you should be ashamed of what you read because I’m not one of those people.”

“Mr. President, these are the words of the shooter,” O’Donnell said.
“I never — I’m sorry. I’m sorry. You should not have read this on ’60 Minutes.’ You’re a disgrace. But go ahead. Let’s get the interview over with,” Trump retorted.
Allen, 31, of Torrance, Calif., was arraigned Monday, April 27, in U.S. District Court on charges stemming from the April 25 incident.
