Charlie Kirk’s old tweets mention rise of ‘assassination culture’

As details of the incident and suspects began to emerge, social media users resurfaced a year-old post by Charlie Kirk in which he warned of a growing “culture of assassinations.” In his post, Kirk cited polls suggesting that a segment of liberals believe violence against figures like Trump and Elon Musk is “justified.”

WHCD shooting suspect Cole Allen is also a resident of California, where he worked as a teacher and attended college. He is a member of “The Wide Awakes” and is believed to have participated in the “No Kings” demonstrations in California.

Kirk further blamed the left in a tweet, writing: “The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether it’s losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximum violent response.”

He called leftists “ticking time bombs,” writing, “This is the natural outgrowth of years of tolerance of violence and chaos in a left-wing protest culture. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials turned leftists into time bombs.”
