After Apple releases statement on CEO successor Tim Cook shared a tweet informing his fans and followers about the development. “I want to thank you all for your outpouring of love and for trusting me to lead a company that always has you at its heart. This is not goodbye. Here’s to saying hello to John, I can’t wait for you to get to know him as well as I do! ” he tweeted.

Tim Cook on his successor:
Cook will serve as executive chairman of Apple’s board of directors, while the CEO role will be filled by John Ternus, senior vice president of hardware engineering.

He is a visionary who has made countless contributions to Apple over the past 25 years, and there is no doubt that he is the right person to lead Apple into the future.
