In response to Cook’s emotional “goodbye” message on the X, Pichai praised Cook’s “incredible performance” and his unwavering commitment to Apple’s core mission. The Google CEO also extended a warm welcome to incoming CEO John Ternus.

After Apple releases statement on CEO successor Tim Cook shared a tweet informing his fans and followers about the development. “I want to thank you all for your outpouring of love and for trusting me to lead a company that always has you at its heart. This is not goodbye. Here’s to saying hello to John, I can’t wait for you to get to know him as well as I do! ” he tweeted.

Tim Cook on his successor:
Cook will serve as executive chairman of Apple’s board of directors, while the CEO role will be filled by John Ternus, senior vice president of hardware engineering.
Speaking about his successor, the outgoing CEO said: “John Ternus has the mind of an engineer, the soul of an innovator, and the heart to lead with integrity and honor. He is a visionary who has made countless contributions to Apple over the past 25 years, and there is no doubt that he is the right person to lead Apple into the future.
