Video of Erica speaking from a formal podium bearing the U.S. seal sparked rumors on X of a 2028 presidential run, with some calling it a “soft launch.” Others speculated about Republican plans.
“Erica Kirk is running for president in 2028. That’s what all this is for. This is a soft start. That’s why this is important! ! ” wrote one X user, sharing a video of her speech.

However, Erica has not revealed any plans to run for president in 2028, and Turning Point USA has not confirmed any such decision.

“Now we have to show up again in the midterm elections with 80 to 90 percent voter turnout and strengthen the red wall over the next decade. That’s what we need to do. But at the same time, there are people who are actively trying to divide this country,” Erica said in the video. “They love to pick fights. Divide us against each other. Spread negativity.”
She added, “It’s all about getting clicks and influencing algorithms to maximize profits. At the same time, building is hard. Voting. Talking to real people. Spiritual renewal. That’s the actual work.”

Erica emphasized that her husband, Charlie, “gave his life” to this “real work,” adding, “What was built will last for generations, even if the noise is no longer a nonsense.”
Erica praised Trump, saying “no one knows us better than him.”
“No matter what they threw at him, he persevered through adversity because the mission was so important,” she said. “Because this country is worth fighting for. He is not alone in this fight. We are lucky to be Americans.”

Charlie, 31, was allegedly shot and killed by Tyler Robinson on September 10 while attending a campus event in Utah. According to a statement from Utah Valley University (UVU), the shooting occurred around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A event at UVU in Orem.
