A tornado was spotted on Friday near Rochester, Minnesota, and video captured it on the ground. Authorities issued alerts to nearby areas including Marion and Stewartville, urging residents to take precautions. According to storm trackers, the tornado is currently located near Rochester International Airport.

Tornado warning issued for southeastern Minnesota
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for parts of southeastern Minnesota, effective immediately.

north central moore county
southeastern dodge county
The NWS alert confirmed, “At 1:52 p.m. Central Time, weather observers confirmed the tornado was located 7 miles east of Highfield (or 12 miles southeast of Dodge Center). The storm was moving east at 30 mph.”
The alert added, “Flying debris will be hazardous for those without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Roofs, windows and vehicles will be damaged. Trees may also be damaged.”
