While the FBI wanted it sent to their lab, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, who was handling the case, insisted it be sent to a private lab in Florida. Now the lab has reportedly sent the evidence to the FBI, which is using new technology for advanced analysis in hopes of getting closer to the perpetrators.
