BenQ today launched the new MA270S 5K monitor in India, expanding its Mac-centric MA monitor series. The new monitor is aimed at creators and high-end Mac users, and aims to solve some of the pain points for users who use an attached monitor for work on their Mac PC.

BenQ MA270S 5K Monitor Specifications and Features
The BenQ MA270S 5K monitor features a 27-inch 5K Nano Gloss panel that perfectly reproduces colors on your Mac for a seamless experience. BenQ says this display panel enhances contrast and depth while maintaining clarity from all viewing angles. The monitor’s screen offers 5K resolution of 5120×2880 pixels, a screen refresh rate of 70Hz, and a pixel density of 218 ppi. It offers 99% P3 color coverage and 2000:1 contrast ratio.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor comes with a Thunderbolt 4 port that delivers up to 96W of power. Users can use this port to connect, charge, and transfer data over a single cable. It also has multiple HDMI ports and USB-C ports for connecting various devices. In addition to ports, the BenQ 270S 5K monitor supports daisy-chaining of dual 5K monitors, which will allow users to connect two 5K monitors to expand their workspace without compromising resolution or clarity. There is also a smart KVM feature that allows seamless switching between systems using a single keyboard and mouse.
In addition to display specifications and connectivity options, BenQ’s new monitors also come with a variety of software-based features designed to provide users with greater control. Users can use BenQ Display Pilot 2, which automatically synchronizes color profiles, brightness levels and focus modes with their Mac devices. Display Pilot 2 also allows users to manage workspaces, screen partitions, and other controls for displays on their Mac. Additionally, it provides auto-rotation and intuitive multi-screen control for Mac users.
BenQ MA270S 5K Monitor Price and Availability
BenQ MA270S 5K Nano Glossy Monitor is priced at $94,998 and is available across all leading retail stores in India as well as major e-commerce platforms in the country.
We spoke to BenQ India Managing Director Rajeev Singh on the sidelines of the event to understand the product better and he told us that this 5K monitor is focused on creators. “…so we did a lot of research and identified these pain points [of Mac users]. One of the biggest pain points is color accuracy and color reproduction. So basically, whenever you connect any external monitor to your MacBook or iPad, the colors you see on the display are very different from the colors you see on your laptop’s display. So that’s been a major pain point… So leveraging our display technology, we designed a set of monitors primarily for Mac users. ” Singh told HT Tech, while adding that the company’s new monitors will not only work with Macs, but also MacBooks, iPads and even iPhones.
“All devices, when you connect them to our monitors, you’ll be able to see the exact same colors that you see on a Mac device,” he said.
