There has been speculation about a potential political showdown within the Pennsylvania Democratic Party after reporter Laura Goldman reported that former Sen. Bob Casey Jr. could challenge incumbent Sen. John Fetterman in the 2028 election cycle.
Goldman claimed in the X post that Casey, who narrowly lost his Senate seat in 2024, plans to announce a run against Fetterman after November.
Goldman Sachs also claimed that Casey believed “Fetterman was not the same person.”
However, there has been no formal confirmation from Casey or his team, and HT.com was unable to independently verify the report.
